Traveling Light

TRAVELING LIGHT

Standing outside

As the day and evening

Turn to night

But witnessing and experiencing

The string and brightness

Of the traveling light

Observing and staring

And not putting up much of a fight

Just chilling right here

Because this feels and seems

So very right

And not wrong

As I’m watching the strand of light

Just moving and carrying along

As this makes

A unique title

For a poem or song

Feet in sand

And water around

Staring at the light

Just curling round and round

But ironically

It doesn’t make a sound

Just nothing but silence

As it glides along the air

And above my head

For the word I would use here

And now

Is amazing

And enough said

As it seems to be free

And being what

It was intended to be

And also, do

For I arrived in the nick of time

To get a close-up view

And glad that I am here

As this wave of light

Just came and appeared

And thinking back

To when I first saw it

And embraced this

With a smile on my face

Intrigued the entire time

As it made my heart

And pulse race

As I continued to stand

Right outside

There in the sand

There along the coast

As it sailed across the land

Right as the day and evening

Turn to night

But witnessing and experiencing

The string and brightness

Of the traveling light
