As the fall season

Falls upon us

With a cool greeting

Rustling through the trees

And scattering the leaves

Welcoming temperatures

That is cooler than the past season

Right on schedule and with reason

To be the one before winter

Preparing the outside

For the opposite of summer

And spending more time inside

As we look out of the windows

At the gentle breeze

That just pushes along

And witnessing the color scheme

With a spectrum of shades

Each one tends to be

As we watch many of them

Fall from the trees

The beginning of a cycle

And keeping warm will be a need

As we embrace this season

With the falling of

Autumn leaves
